Rev. Counselor Prince Offei Inaugurated onto ICGC Presbytery Family Life Support Committee to Shape Marriage and Family Ministry Worldwide

ACCRA, GHANA — The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has inaugurated 19 strategic Presbytery Committees to drive its global mission, with the global ICGC PRESBYTERY FAMILY LIFE SUPPORT COMMITTEE globally among the key bodies commissioned.
The historic ceremony took place on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Christ Temple East, Teshie, and was presided over by the ICGC National/International Presbytery led by General Overseer Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil and General Secretary Rev. Morris Appiah. Senior presbyters including Rev. Christopher Yaw Annor and Rev. Anthony Cudjoe were also present. Committee work commenced effective 9th July, 2026.
Appointment of Rev. Counselor Prince Offei
Among the seven members inaugurated onto the Presbytery Family Life Support Committee is Rev. Counselor Prince Offei (already a Lecturer and Faculty Member of Central University's Daniel Institute), appointed on June 29, 2026 by the National Presbytery (led by General Overseer).
He serves alongside Rev. Samuel Awuku Gyekye, Regional Overseer and Chair, Rev. Dr. Fred Brako (Provost of Daniel Institute and Chaplain of Central University), Professor Irene Kretchy (Professor of Social and Behavioural Pharmacy –Pharmacy Practice and first female dean of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Ghana), Dr. Sena Owusu-Gibson (Deputy Director of the Human Trafficking Secretariat under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection-MoGCSP), and Dr. Albert Rockson (Executive Director of ICGC Central Aid worldwide).
This appointment places Rev. Counselor Prince Offei at the heart of policy and strategy for marriage and family life across ICGC worldwide. The 19 committees — including Ordination & Licensing, Legal, Church Order & Doctrine, Education, and Disciplinary—constitute the operational framework through which ICGC is governed under Presbytery.
The Committee’s Mandate
The Family Life Support Committee is mandated to provide vision and resources for marriages, families, and individuals across all ICGC churches. Its focus areas include: 1. Marriage enrichment and premarital counseling 2. Family crisis intervention, grief support, and trauma care 3. Parenting education and youth/family discipleship 4. Mental health and counselling support grounded in biblical principles 5. ADR - Alternative Dispute Resolution for reconciliation and peace 6. Training and resourcing pastors and lay counselors globally.

Counselor Prince attended the inauguration with his wife, Mrs. Anuoluwapo Blessing Offei, who is also a licensed counsellor, certified professional caregiver, and school counsellor.
